Capturing Paris: Growth, Emotion, and Architecture

Paris is where I started photography—where I took my first course, had my first client, and did my first canvassing. I have a bittersweet relationship with Paris. It rocked me, but it also disappointed me. I had big dreams; I saw them get shattered, but I also saw them get refined.

I’ve chosen photos from when I first began urban photography and cityscapes, as well as more recent ones, to showcase the growth and evolution in my creative process, technique, and composition.

Motion, blur, gray, blue, lights, and shadows—these elements shaped my compositions. They enhanced the architectural beauty of the Haussmannian buildings I shot and made the stunning monuments I witnessed look even better from one session to the next. These photographs may not be the most perfect ones I can show, but they are certainly the most precious and emotional ones I can present, because they shaped me as a photographer.
